A study has found that women are at risk of iodine deficiency during pregnancy.

ABC News has reported that a team at the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research found that taking an iodine supplement before becoming pregnant was key to maintaining adequate levels of the essential micronutrient during pregnancy.
